Doncho Donchev’s paintings presented in Liechtenstein

Doncho Donchev was presented with a large solo exhibition at Liechtenstein National Museum on the 4th of March 2015. The opening of the exhibition gathered many art enthusiasts and connoisseurs that fancied his paintings.

The previous exhibition of the famous Bulgarian artist, which took place in Zurich – Petra Lossen Fine Art Gallery in October 2014, was a great success. As a result his appearance in Liechtenstein attracted the attention of many people.

There were over 40 works of Doncho Donchev at the exhibition. Some of them were borrowed from private art collections in Switzerland.

The topics of the exhibition revolved around mythology. The artworks were extremely detailed and made of different materials. One of them, a plastic art called “Phoenix”, was created entirely of pencils. It will remain in Liechtenstein as a part of the National Museum permanent exhibition.

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Rainer Vollkommer – the director of the museum, а world-famous scientist and archeologist. He presented the exhibited paintings and expressed his gratitude to Doncho Donchev, the organization, the Bulgarian Embassy and the ambassador Meglena Plugchieva.

Doncho Donchev also gave a speech. His words were sincere and revealed his world outlook, quests and emotions.

The event was followed by very positive press releases. The exhibition was included in the cultural calendar of the Principality of Liechtenstein. Switzerland tourism portal paid a lot of attention to it as well.
